Discipline Policy

Here at 5 Alive, we concentrate on educating our students both in our subject areas and in promoting good citizenship. Our check system is designed to help students think about the consequences of behavior that interferes with their learning and that of others.

We try to notify parents in a timely manner if there are problems that arise during the week. If a student accumulates four or more checks, a notice will be sent home to be signed. We want to work with parents in helping students make good choices about succeeding in school.

General misbehaviors that interfere with learning. Each is worth one check, except for homework, which is two checks. More serious issues are dealt within the BMS school discipline code of major and minor infractions.
