2002-3 was one long, cold winter . . .

The BEA picketed weekly to let the public know that  negotiations were not going well.  We want to make it clear to the public that the lack of a settlement is NOT over money.  We need language in our contract that ensures that all teachers will be treated fairly.  We would not be pursuing this if there were not problems. 

Many teachers joked that they could predict the weather -- when it was time to do informational picketing, either the temperature would drop drastically, or there would be rain or snow.
