Before Bow High was built. High school students from Bow in grades 10, 11 and 12 had attended Concord High School for many years. Ninth grade students had attended the Bow Memorial School. In 1993, the Concord School District informed the town of Bow that they could no longer send students to CHS after the 1996-1997 school year. Bow immediately began studying and planning for the construction of Bow High School. Many different options were examined, however, the town voted at the 1995 School District Meeting to build a school to serve its students. The school is located off of White Rock Hill Road. It is next to the old town transfer station and on the shores of Turee Pond. It is designed to accommodate a maximum of 600 students, even though current enrollment is about 612. The cost of the school was about $16 million dollars. The school includes a 600-seat auditorium, an 800-seat gymnasium, and a distance learning classroom, a video production facility and state of the art technology.
