Bow School to Career Partnership
2008-2009 Goals and Objectives
Goal I. Sustain a strong Partnership with active participation from all stakeholders.
Objective 1. Recruit and orient new Partnership members.
Objective 2. Chair and facilitate Bow School to Career Partnership bimonthly
meetings.
Objective 3. Facilitate outreach activities to heighten community awareness, involvement, and support of the Bow School to Career initiative.
Objective 4. Participate in business and education organizations such as Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement of NH, and Regional School to Career meetings.
Goal II. Support a continuum of school-based and work-based learning opportunities that facilitate age-appropriate career exploration for all students at all grade levels.
Objective 1. Support school-based learning experiences with Bow Elementary School.
d. Guest speakers, Artists in Residence, Gifted and Talented Program (Grades K - 4)
Objective 2. Support school-based learning experiences with Bow Memorial School.
a. Careers in Technology (Grade 6 – Computer Literacy Special)
Objective 3. Facilitate school-based, community-based, and work-based learning opportunities with Bow High School.
i. Provide information about career exploration forums such as the Women in Science and Technology Forum, Engineering Career Days at BAE Systems, UNH High Technology Day, etc.
j. Guest speakers, Artists in Residence (Grades 9 – 12)
k. Facilitate Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Independent Study
Goal III. Identify resources for faculty to enhance curriculum with business collaboration.
Objective 1. Offer Faculty/Business Externships for interested faculty.
Objective 2. Share information about school to career opportunities and related professional development opportunities with faculty and staff.
