The following proposal is a check list which the teacher and student complete together:

HONORS OPTION PROPOSAL
The honors option at Bow High School is available to students who wish to challenge themselves beyond the general curriculum requirements. Upon successful completion of the honors option requirements, students will receive an honors designation on their academic records.

Demonstration of Genuine Interest – You must honestly be excited to learn more about the chosen topic.
Proposal – Decide what your project will encompass, including measurable goals to demonstrate your accomplishments.
Curriculum Related – Your exploration of the topic should be an extension of the existing course curriculum.
Research - You must use a variety of resources.
Scheduling of Student/Teacher Meetings – It is your responsibility to schedule and attend meetings with your teacher.
Well Defined Timeline – You, along with your teacher, must decide an appropriate timeline for the components of your project.
