The student will be introduced to the mechanical design program series, using the latest edition of Autodesk's "Inventor." This course utilizes a tutorial text that gives the student an excellent foundation of design skills. Students will experience three-dimensional solid modeling after just the third lesson. Drawing three dimensional models that students can rotate and look at in from any angle becomes easier than drawing sketches on a flat surface. An important goal of this course is to learn the basic procedure of creating an easily interpretable drawing. Problem-solving situations will be presented to show students real life application of the skills they have learned. Students will be encouraged to find solutions to those problems in many different ways.
