BMS Student Council
Student Council held the BMS 12th Annual Charity Walk-a-Thon on Friday, April 23. Students and staff members collected donations for the Walk-a-Thon that benefited Bow Welfare and Global Benefit’s Clean Water Africa Fund. This year, the walkers raised $2,815.67 for Bow Welfare and $2,671.67 for the Clean Water Africa Fund.
Together we worked hard gathering donations to benefit our local neighbors through Bow Welfare and our global neighbors through Global Benefit. Each of us made an effort to give some of ourselves and to ask some of our families, neighbors, and friends. We each gave some, worked some, and walked some, and together we were able to make a BIG DIFFERENCE! Thank you, BMS community. Great job paying it forward and working together to make positive change!
The May dance was great fun for all who attended, and the last dance was held Friday, June 11 in the café from 7-10:00 p.m. A BIG thank you to all parents who volunteered to chaperone this year’s dances. You help make our dances possible, and we do appreciate you!
This year the Student Council’s annual gift will be helping to finance the cost of next year’s BMS calendar magnets.
We would like to thank all 2009-2010 Student Council members for an outstanding year! Council members have worked diligently this year representing their peers and working for their classmates, school, community, and neighbors, both locally and globally.
We wish everyone a healthy, safe, and fun summer!
