Lucas Cohen—2012 BMS GEO Bee Champion!

Do you know your geography? Bow Memorial students do! The audience watched intently as their grade-level representatives were tested on geographic knowledge. The eight finalists from grades 5-8 worked their way through several rounds of questions before only two finalists remained for the championship round: Owen Molind, grade 8, and Lucas Cohen, grade 7. Both students were asked the same three questions, and the one with the most correct answers was declared the winner. At the end of thefinal round, Lucas Cohen emerged as the winner of the 2012 BMS Geography Bee. Second place went to Owen Molind, and third place to Alistair Mayo, grade 5. Lucas has since taken a written exam and has been selected to compete in the New Hampshire Geography Bee at Keene State College on March 30. Best of luck, Lucas!
