Special Education

As the year comes to the halfway point, we would like to recognize and thank all of our new support staff members for helping students transition into their current grade levels.  Marilyn Knapp, Tammianne Searle, Joe Donovan, and Marc Evans joined the fifth grade team. Donna Colman joined the sixth grade team, and Karen McGee and Tonya Barrington joined the seventh grade team.

Jodi Gutterman, our sixth grade special education teacher, is finishing her master’s degree and seeking the support of the fifth and sixth grade parents.  A consent form requesting participation in two brief surveys has been sent home with the sixth grade students and will be sent home with the fifth graders in the very near future. Please send the forms back to school with your children so that Jodi may conduct research for her thesis project. Adeana Silfies, our seventh grade special education teacher, is also pursuing her masters degree.
