Grades Five and Six Guidance

Welcome to Grades Five and Six Guidance at BMS!  My name is Mrs. Linda Vincent and I have been a middle school guidance counselor for 16 years.   The last 13 years have been at BMS.      

I am extremely excited to have the opportunity to get to know all students in grades five and six through teaching specials classes in those grades.   The curriculum for those classes have come from numerous sources including: graduate classes, workshops, references, studies, programs and my personal experience as a middle school guidance counselor.  It has been very beneficial to spend an hour each day for a 22 day rotation with every student in the 5th and 6th grades.  Students have an opportunity to get to know me and I have an opportunity to get to know them.   This makes students feel more comfortable with seeking out my assistance if they should ever feel the need or to just drop by and chat.  I frequently have informal drop in lunch groups with students and it is a fun way to keep in touch with the activities that students are involved in.
