Title Sponsor: S&W Sports is an ideal partner for the Sunapee/S&W Sports/Continental Paving Racing Team. Located in Concord, NH, S&W Sports is renown throughout New England for its knowledgeable, competent, and helpful staff. They are equally adept at assisting recreational and elite cyclists with their sporting needs. One motivating factor for Tim Farmer (the owner of S&W Sports) in stepping up to become title sponsor our team was his appreciation that our team members are not just successful racers, but we are equally passionate about mentoring young bicycle racers and older newcomers to the sport, coaching youth endurance sports (nordic skiing, alpine skiing, running) and the active promotion of competitive events.

Title Sponsor: Continental Paving, Inc., is a locally owned and operated site development contractor that completes all earthwork, utility installations and paving with its own resources. They are a General Contractor for public and private projects to $20 million in size. Projects include commercial building sites, residential housing developments, roadway construction from town roads to interstate highways, and airport construction. Continental Paving prides themselves on the efficiency of their operations and the quality of work they produce for their customers. They continue to try to improve on their past achievements to provide services better than the industry standard. Continental Paving provides the foundation that enables road cyclists throughout New Hampshire to pursue their passion ... smooth asphalt all around the state!

New Sponsor Spotlight: Accelerade is the newest partner of the Sunapee/S&W Sports/Continental Paving Racing Team. In 1997, six of the country's top exercise physiologists convened with the goal of developing the next generation of sports drinks. Out of this symposium came Accelerade — the first sports drink to contain carbohydrates in combination with protein in a patented 4:1 ratio. That's a ratio that research has shown is ideal. Because while protein is key, the amount of protein is what's important. Too much, and it can't be processed by the body. Too little, and it won't work like it needs to. Simply, the science behind the ratio is what takes you beyond rehydration straight to peak performance. In 2004, sports scientists at James Madison University asked trained cyclists to ride stationary bicycles to exhaustion while drinking either Accelerade or a conventional sports drink. The athletes drinking Accelerade were able to ride 29 percent longer than those drinking the conventional sports drink. At the University of Texas, when Accelerade was compared to a conventional sports drink, it extended endurance up to 36 percent and up to 55 percent compared to water. Accelerade gives members of the Sunapee/S&W Sports/Continental Paving Racing Team the extra kick they need to be competitive across the spectrum of bicycle races, from the sub-hour all-out efforts in short criteriums to 24 hour endurance races!
