1) While Windows programs will allow you to add printers while still in the print menu, many don't. So close the print menu and select:
for Windows 2000: "Printers" from the "Settings Menu" (in the Start Menu)
or for Windows XP: "Printers and Faxes" from the "Start Menu"
2) Press the "Add a printer button"
| 3) As you work your way through the wizard, choose to connect to "a network printer" and press "Next" |
4) Continuing through the wizard, choose to "Find a printer in the directory" and press "Next" |
| |
| 5) In the "Name" field, you could enter "*" followed by "Find Now" to browse every available printer, but you'll save time by entering your school instead. Ex. BHS. This will list just the printer's whose name begin with your school name. Select the printer you want from the list and press "OK". |
6) You'll be asked if you want to make this your "default printer" and that's your choice. I'll simply remind you to review the "Printer Rules" I've already explained in this Tutorial.
