Rule #1: If you are attempting to print to a printer that accompanies a laptop cart; make sure you:

| a) plug the cart into both an electrical outlet | b) plug the cart into a live network outlet | c) turn the printer on! |
| d) please note that all 3 of the stpes above should be accomplished BEFORE you try to print | ||
Rule #2: If you attempt to print a document and "nothing happens", please don't press print again without doing some troubleshooting. If you didn't get an error message, odds are real good that you did print..... "somewhere".
Rule #3: If you ever switch classrooms or computers (and most of you do!), never simply hit the "Print" tool on the toolbar or press the hot key (Ctrl)P or (Apple)P. Doing so will use the "Default Printer" which may or may not be the printer you really want to use.
Instead, select "Print" from the "File Menu"

and select the desired printer from the list before you print.
