9) To utilize this new VPN connection. Either double click the shortcut you created on your desktop or select "Connect to" from your start menu. You'll be asked to enter your username and password:

11) While connected, your computer will behave as if  it is connected to our network. You'll have access to the same network volumes you would have access to at school (though slower). Please note that your drives will not mapped (H: etc...) as you're used to at school, but you can still access everything through the start menu selecting "run" and entering server names as follows:

\\enterprise\  (to access all faculty and student folders)

NOTE: While connected to BowNET via VPN, you will not complete access to your regular home network. Thus your web browser won't work unless your going through our proxy server, you won't be able to access none-district email servers, etc...... Regular access will resume when you complete the next step......

12) When you are finished using your VPN session, find your session icon in the lower right corner of your task bar, right-click on it, and select "disconnect". Complete access to your regular home network is now restored.
