The Fourth Graders Holiday Project
This year, the fourth graders at Bow Elementary School broke their Holiday Tradition. In the past years, the students have contributed items to the classroom that they thought would be nice to have and use through out the rest of the school year. Instead of giving to themselves, so to speak, they decided that it would be nice to collect items that could be used by those less fortunate. This idea was sparked by a lesson on the homeless, done by Glenn Berger, Guidance Counselor at BES.
Throughout the months of December and January the students brought in various items, such as toiletry articles, diapers, and clothing. Lauren Percy, an eighth grade student at BMS, coordinated and boxed the items as part of her community service.
Ethan and Kadin prepared speeches for the final day presentation, when a representative came from the Friends Program to receive the generous donations.
Thank you fourth graders for a job well done!
