BMS Music Department/ REACH
On Thursday, January 24, 2008 the BMS music department and the BMS REACH program will be co-sponsoring a recital luncheon from 11:20 – 1:20 for advanced 6th, 7th, and 8th grade music students who are currently taking music lessons outside of school. We are inviting you to participate in this recital. To participate, you will need to select a piece of music that is at performance level. Please share this notice with your private music teacher.
The length of your performance should be around three minutes and no more than four minutes. If you need a piano accompanist, let Mrs. Giguere know as soon as possible. You will need to provide us with program notes (a paragraph in your own words about your piece and/or the composer). Please e-mail or hand deliver the program notes to either Mrs. Giguere or Mrs. Romano by Friday, January 10, 2008.
Your family and your private music teacher are welcome to attend the recital. Please let us know how many will be attending. Your guests may bring their lunch, and desserts and beverages will be served.
Audience members are invited to comment about your performance. You will be given the comment sheets as well as have an opportunity to discuss the recital the following day.
