Make-up Guidelines
Every child gets the same number of days that s/he missed school to make up the missed work.
If a child is absent only one day, then s/he should wait until coming to school to get the work. If your child has the books at home, then the homework buddy could be called for the day’s assignments.
If the student is absent more than one day, they s/he should call a homework buddy and ask for the books and assignments for the following day. If they are neighbors, then the homework buddy can deliver the work on the way home to avoid parental travel.
If a student is going to be absent more than three full days or has an extended illness, then a parent may request a homework sheet by contacting the office.
It is our hope that this system will reduce some of the stress that can be associated with missed assignments.
Homework Policy
Homework is expected to be completed and handed in on the day it is due, with the exception of absences, or as stated in an individual plan. Late assignments will receive the following consequences:
