Alternative Education
BRIDGES
The Alternative Education class, Bridges, currently services about 24 students. Students meet at least one out of every 8 periods. This class is designed to assist students who may be having some difficulty in school for a variety of reasons. Students work on developing ways of dealing with issues regarding school that may be hindering them from being more successful within the school setting. The students work on homework for various classes, as well as develop study skills. Every two weeks progress reports are issued enabling students to better monitor their progress. The staff of the Bridges program also provides students with strategies in self-advocacy.
