What a wonderful time to be a kindergarten teacher!  We are enjoying the season, watching the snow and planning for family celebrations.

We are all working on comparing and contrasting the many versions of the Gingerbread Boy story.  Some that we have read so far are The Gingerbread Boy,  The Gingerbread Girl, The Gingerbread Baby, The Stinky Cheese Man and the list goes on.  This is a wonderful springboard to talk about story elements such as setting, characters, problem and solution.  The children enjoy the familiar story and they are looking forward to a possible visit from the Gingerbread Boy!
