Welcome to the wonderful world of School to Career! In a survey sponsored by the National Office of Secretaries of States, teens and young adults identified having a successful career and gaining the skills necessary for their career as two of their top three priorities. School to career is an opportunity for you to gain the skills necessary for a successful transition from high school. You will also be able to meet your Career Exploration graduation requirement of twenty hours. You can also participate in school to career activities throughout your years at Bow High School. Whether you are headed to college, the workforce, military service, or national service, participating in a work-based learning experience can assist you in developing your career plans.
There are many kinds of work-based learning opportunities to choose from including informational interviews, job shadows, internships, co-operative education, and apprenticeships. Hundreds of Bow students have participated in a wide variety of interesting school to career activities. Some of the sites include WKXL, Grappone Auto Junction, Lavallee/Brensinger Professional Association, NH Dartmouth Psychiatric Research, Concord Orthopaedics, NH Bankers Association, WKXL, NH Peterbilt, Harley Davidson & Buell, Concord Monitor, Capitol Center for the Arts, Concord Hospital, and Pitco Frialator, to name a few.
