Project Goals

Goal 1: Transform the vision of technologically enriching the teacher preparation programs developed during our existing Project NewTEACHERS (PNT-1) Capacity Building project into a reality for all NH teacher preparation programs.

Goal 2: Facilitate the development of rigorous curricula infused with technology especially in academic content areas at all NH institutions that prepare teachers, using state certification requirements and national teacher standards for guidance.

Goal 3: Provide professional development opportunities that include continuous professional learning options, adequate resources, and clear incentives and rewards for NH faculty engaged in preparing technology-proficient teachers.

Goal 4: Develop strategies for eliminating the digital divide and ensure equitable access to modern learning technologies for all learners.

Goal 5: Expand collaborative partnerships to enable higher education to emulate technology rich strategies used in schools which improve teaching and learning.

Goal 6: Collaborate with the State Board of Education and the Professional Standards Board as they initiate strategies to attract students to NH preservice education programs and to retain newly prepared teachers in NH schools.

Goal 7: Develop a plan for articulating and disseminating the vision of how technology can transform education aligned with initiatives and plans of other NH education agencies.

Goal 8: Implement formative and summative plans to continuously assess program quality and outcomes.
