Mrs. Bennerts Corner This year is off to a wonderful start! The class has settled very nicely into the fourth grade routine. Your child will be bringing home an assignment book on a daily basis. Please take some time to check this book and look at completed homework. This would help your child stay up to date with his/her assignments. Addition and subtraction facts are being reviewed in Math. All students have been asked to bring in their flash cards for their multiplication facts. These should be reviewed on a daily basis. Our class is presently reading Pathki Nana by Kenneth Thomasma. The students are learning about the various survival skills the Native Americans used. They are also studying the main idea of each chapter, and soon they will be working on character clusters and journal questions. In Social Studies, we have begun our study of New Hampshire. the class learned about the Ice Age, and presently they are studying the Native Americans of NH. Throughout the course of the year, if you have any question or concerns, please feel free to contact me here at school(225-3049, Voice Mail Ext. 524) or through e-mail: sbennert@bownet.org.
